Our Hope in the Midst of Challenges-Part 2

In part one of my message of ‘Our Hope In The Midst of Challenges’, I pointed out the importance of knowing the perfect will of God. If your spirit is connected to the God of heaven and earth and your spirit is illuminated by the Word of God, then you should be able to know the will of God because the spirit of Christ that is you, He will tell you. Sadly people don’t take the pre-eminence of Christ seriously. Some take the church more seriously than Jesus. Until you know the......

Part time Lover - Part 1

The title almost says it all. I remember listening to a Joyce Meyer message and she said some of us need to get married to Jesus instead of just dating Him. This got me thinking – are we giving God our best? Are we serving God part time? As I thought deeply and reflected on what Joyce Meyer said, I opened my Bible to Ephesians 5. Verses 1 to 5 commands us to walk in love, verse 1 talks about being imitators and verse 2 concentrates on imitating Christ, our chief example......

Showers of Kindness

The United Kingdom is very familiar with the concept of “unannounced” rain in and out of season. I have lost count of the summers where the sun was enjoying itself and then without warning, showers of rain have poured down relentlessly without invitation and I had left the house unprepared. I would walk back home in the rain, but that didn’t put me off – I began to dance in the rain. Weird as it may seem I do like the rain but not as much as the unexpected surprise of it.......

Loving When It’s Not Convenient

I remember my mum one morning asking me if I could buy some bath soap for the house on my way back from work. I groaned thinking to myself didn’t she know I had a plan for the morning. The plan was to finish work on time, head to the gym and then come home promptly. Shopping was not in the equation but I reluctantly agreed and the funny thing was that it didn’t take that long at all. Love isn’t always convenient or our first choice, it isn’t easy. I’ve said......

Our Hope in the Midst of Challenges-Part 1

“I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this......

Love Is Not A Choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me pleasure to present to you this message that love is not a choice. LOVE IS A MUST! When I say love, I mean the God kind of love. The love that sought us out in the midst of others. The love that forgives us when we were so bad in sin. The love that gives grace. Yes abundant grace when we need it. The love that strengthens us when we are weak. The love that suffers long and is kind. Love that does not envy, that......

Happy Easter

The Risen Christ, Our Hope “Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen. And if Christ is not risen, then our preaching is empty and your faith is also empty. Yes, we are found false witnesses of God, because we have testified of God that He raised up Christ, whom He did not raise up – if in fact......

Different Levels of Love - Part 2

In my last article I mentioned different types of love known in the Greek society but ended on Agape, this article is a deeper study into what Agape is. Through all my studies there is one major factor that I can see from this love and it is that it’s the ultimate type of love epitomised in John 3:16. The Greek word Agape is the type of love that God has for us as His children. This type of love is mentioned in the New Testament 320 times. A question I found......

Love is Always Patient - Part 2

In my last article I was talking about patience. Our scriptural basis was in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.  The bible talks about love being patient but in different versions for example in the New King James version it says that love suffers long. Exodus 34:6 says “And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth.” Long suffering is the quality of self restraint in the midst of situations or when faced with provocation, it is the opposite of anger......

Our Dependable God!

Ladies and gentlemen, I announce to you today that The God who became man to save man is dependable! The God who became the Son of Man for man to become sons of God is dependable. So you can trust Him! According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary to be “dependable” means: ‘able to be trusted to do or provide what is needed’. Beloved, my God can be trusted to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). He is also able......
